eGift Card Terms & Conditions

  1. eGift Cards may be redeemed in full or part payment for goods in any UK Argos store, online at and, including current promotional offers, at the prevailing prices listed.
  2. eGift Cards cannot be used for purchases made over the phone.
  3. eGift Cards cannot be used for the purchase of other gift cards or vouchers.
  4. GBP £ eGift Cards cannot be redeemed in ROI.
  5. This eGift Card is not a credit, debit or cheque guarantee card, cannot be redeemed for cash or returned to Argos or Voucher Express under the Argos 30 Day Guarantee and cannot be re-sold or re-tendered. This will not affect your statutory rights.
  6. All eGift Cards hold an expiry date, please refer to the date stated on your eGift Card for further information. If this is not detailed, please use the online balance and expiry date checker in the My Account section of the website.
  7. Argos reserve the right to decline or withdraw the eGift Card at any time.
  8. Treat this eGift Card like cash, Argos Ltd cannot be held liable for lost, stolen or damaged eGift Cards and they will not be replaced. 
  9. To check your balance at any time please sign into your account at and use the balance checker provided.
  10. The number of Gift Cards or eGift Cards you can use in a single transaction for online purchases is limited to 3. If you have more than 5 Gift Cards or eGift Cards and would like to use them in a single transaction you may do this in-store.
  11. If any product purchased with an eGift Card is subsequently exchanged for product of a lower price or a refund, any money owing will be added to a new Gift Card or eGift Card.
  12. If you do not spend the entire balance an eGift Cards, the remaining balance will be available on the same eGift Card after each transaction, with the same expiry date.
  13. Sales of Argos eGift Cards are made, managed and fulfilled by Voucher Express - a trading name of Hemingways Marketing Services Ltd, Metcalfe House, 23H Kirkgate, Ripon. HG4 1PB, established 1947 and registered in England 453174. VAT Reg No: GB 169725424. Voucher Express is the seller of the gift cards.
  14. eGift cards ordered through this site will be sent by Voucher Express to the email address provided at point of order.
  15. Should you purchase an eGift card that you want to have personalised, you will need to upload a photo of your choice and add it to the email sent with the eGift Card. The uploading of your photo shall be at your own risk.
  16. Any photo uploaded by you must be owned by you and it must not contain, including but not limited to any content that;
    1. is offensive, distasteful, degrading, threatening, pornographic, shows any kind of abuse, including but not limited to racial, religious or child abuse, considered a criminal offence or breach of applicable law or may in any way cause offence;
    2. could reflect negatively on the name, reputation, or goodwill of Argos or any of its group companies;
    3. includes trademarks, logos, or copyrighted material not owned by the winner or used without the right holder's prior written permission (including famous names, company names, etc.);
    4. defames, misrepresents, or insults other people or companies, including, but not limited to Argos or its group companies (including its partners);
    5. promotes any political agenda; or
    6. includes images of any third party who has not expressly consented
  17. Argos will not be held responsible or liable for any photo uploaded by you and will not be responsible for any loss of photos, however the loss occurs.
  18. Should a photo breach these terms Argos reserves the right to remove it with immediate effect and if necessary, we will comply with any law enforcement as required.
  19. You are responsible for ensuring you have the relevant computer system to upload your photo and that the photo will be free of viruses or infections that could contaminate or destroy our systems.
  20. eGift cards will normally be delivered by email via  Voucher Express on the day of purchase unless a specified later delivery date is requested. Where possible we will try to meet all delivery requirements but neither Voucher Express nor Argos shall be liable for any loss incurred either directly or indirectly by failure to meet the delivery date and time indicated at the time of order being placed. ‘Loss’ in this instance includes loss of profit, costs, damages, charges or other expenses.
  21. Risk will pass to the customer upon delivery and title will pass upon receipt of payments in full. Neither Voucher Express nor Argos can be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged eGift Cards following delivery to the recipient. eGift Cards will NOT be replaced or refunded if lost, stolen or damaged. Neither Voucher Express nor Argos is responsible for funds on the card used without your knowledge.
  22. Argos and Habitat eGift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash and cash refunds will not be available for products purchased with this card. Voucher Express is not directly linked to Argos and can take no responsibility for products and services offered by Argos. For the same reason, Argos shall not be responsible for services offered by Voucher Express and its associated companies, including without limitation the collection and management of your credit card data and personal information which is collected, processed and managed by Voucher Express.
  23. eGift Card values should be checked immediately upon receipt. Any discrepancies must be notified immediately. Voucher Express cannot be held responsible for shortage or loss of any eGift Card  not notified to us within three days of delivery.
  24. Cleared payment is required prior to the dispatch of orders. Payment is taken automatically at the time of purchase by Voucher Express. Your credit/debit card statement will read 'Voucher Express'. We reserve the right to decline any order without providing explanation. Argos will not be given access to your credit/debit card details.
  25. Argos and Habitat eGift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash. eGift cards which are defaced, altered or cancelled will not be accepted in Argos stores.
  26. The re-sale of eGift Cards sold via this website is strictly prohibited.
  27. Force Majeure: Voucher Express cannot be held responsible for failure to meet its service obligations when any failure is brought about due to some cause totally beyond its reasonable control. Examples of this might include: acts of God, trade disputes; governmental intervention, fire, flood, and disruption to computer and IT infrastructure.
  28. Breach of these conditions will entitle Voucher Express to seek the appropriate legal remedy available for injunction, damages or otherwise.
  29. Your use of this website is governed by these Terms and Conditions and construed and enforced in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Disputes arising from your use of this website and the services we provide are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

The terms and conditions set out below apply to the use of the Argos eGift personalised service and incorporate with the standard T&Cs located below. By accessing and browsing this site and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below and accept without any limitation or qualification. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not use or access this site.

Using the personalised eGift Card site- things you must remember:
We want everyone to enjoy using the eGift Card personalised service but there are certain rules and restrictions governing its use.
  1. You must have permission to use the User Content that you upload to the service and defend and hold harmless Argos in the event that claim that the use of any User Content by Argos infringes any third party’s copyright, trade mark, other Intellectual Property right, or right of confidentiality and you shall indemnify Argos for any amounts and costs incurred by or awarded against Argos in judgment, negotiation or settlement of such claims. You must ensure that you either own the copyright to, or are fully licensed to use, images uploaded to this service.
  2. Your personalised message or image must not be offensive, obscene, indecent or profane or be intended to defame, threaten, cause offence, annoyance, embarrassment, distress or other emotional harm to any person. It must not promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age, or that may incite hatred or violence against any person or group
  3. You must not include any material containing a person’s address, phone number, or email address without their permission.
  4. You must not misrepresent a person’s identity in anyway or impersonate any person without their permission.
  5. User Content will not give the impression that it is endorsed by or otherwise emanates from Argos or Voucher Express.
  6. Please be aware that all orders are reviewed by a member of our team.
  7. All personalised orders are subject to review and acceptance.
  8. We reserve the right to reject orders that breach these rules and restrictions.
Under data protection legislation, we are required to provide you with certain information including who we are, how we process your personal data and for what purposes and your rights in relation to your personal data and how to exercise them. All intellectual property rights in the service throughout the world belong to Argos Limited (or our licensors) and the rights in the Argos eGift personalised service are licensed (not sold) to you. You have no intellectual property rights in, or to, the Argos eGift personalised service other than the right to use them in accordance with these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in the English courts.
